AQUATIC ART WORKSHOP



Surfrider Foundtion and NOAA will be offering the “Aquatic Art Workshop” on Saturdays March 14th and 28th at the Jorge Seda Crespo middle school of Rincón as part of the

Coral Reef Protection through Marine Debris Removal at Reserva Marina Tres Palmas

Students from 7th, 8th, and 9th grade will be participating.

The workshop will be held at the basketball court inside the school premises (across the street from the Balneario).

The art workshop’s mission is to develop students who become leaders and active participants in the defense of their natural heritage.

When you volunteer you’ll leave a footprint in the educational experience of Rincón’s youth. It’s a gift the will last a lifetime.

There’s various volunteering positions:

1- Artists who can assist students during both workshop days from 9am-3pm
2- Sponsor a trip to the supermarket to get groceries for kid’s lunches
3- Helping hang art show in Rincón Coop
4- Documenting workshops and/or art exhibit with digital camera
5- Documenting workshops and/or art exhibit with video camera
6- Assist in the prep and cleanup before and after workshops.
7- Other positions available
